Research at Solid State Physics

The research activity at Solid State Physics can be divided into two main areas:

For further information see our list of publications.

Below we also present our equipment, collaborations and sponsors.

Equipment

Equipment at KTH includes a superconducting magnet to 13.5 T, precision instrumentation for temperature regulation in magnetic fields, and sensitive instruments for magnetic measurements, such as a vibrating sample magnetometer.

Collaborations

Extensive national and international collaborations have been established with e.g. the Swedish Superconductivity Consortium, within a EU TMR project for ultralow temperature facilities, Bayreuth, with Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, with Charlottsville, Virginia, and Ekaterinburg, Russia.

Sponsors

Research is in addition sponsored by a number of national research agencies and foundations, such as The Natural Science Research Council (NFR), The Research Council for Engineering Sciences (TFR), The Göran Gustafsson Foundation, The Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation, the Swedish Superconductivity Consortium, and the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research (SSF) under the OXIDE program.
